This week’s column again features “X,” the twenty something pick-up-artist (PUA), the Executive Dating Consultant and Founder of the “Attraxion Arts School,” or “X Arts.”

“X” shares some of the golden rules for would-be and wannabe pick-up-artists to live by. 

Never be afraid of rejection.

Rejection is a part of life. You will get rejected time and time again during the approach or in the middle of the interaction, in your journey to becoming a good PUA. The difference lies in how you handle rejection. Do you see it as the end of your journey? Or do you see it as an opportunity to learn and improve your skill set and personality?

You will never have a chance if you don’t even make the first move. So don’t get nervous. Remember, women want to be approached. They take a very long time to preparing themselves—doing their hair and make-up, choosing the right clothes to wear and the right shoes to match. It would be a big blow to them if you don’t make a move, especially if they give you indicators of interest.

Remove the “scarcity mentality” mind set. Rather, adopt the “abundance mentality” mindset. 

There are plenty of women to go around in this world. So getting rejected by one girl is not the end of the world. There are more than enough for us men, especially in the Philippines, where statistics show that women outnumber men.

This mindset is also constructive as it encourages and promotes cooperation and support between us men and discourages competition, which could result to fights. 

Don’t put the girl on a pedestal.

This means you should not treat the girl like she is a goddess, bow to her commands and let her step all over you in order to “win” her. Sure, you should treat her with respect, but giving respect does not mean being needy, being clingy, liking whatever she likes, or being a pest by always following her wherever she goes.

Women are attracted to men who are challenging and can not be controlled. They aren’t attracted to doormats or stalkers or assistants or even themselves. Even you aren’t attracted to that kind of person.

There is no such thing as overnight success, nor a magic pill or magic bullet.

Success is a process, and it usually doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time and perseverance. That is the way of life and how things work. Just enjoy the process and don’t be outcome dependent. Building confidence takes time. It comes from experience, and building your skill set.

Also, we don’t offer the magic pill, one that could instantly turn you from average person into a stud! We just give you the tools and resources necessary to succeed with the opposite sex, but in the end, it’s still up to you if you want to apply and test those tools.

Go out, go out, go out! Apply what you have learned.

Everything we teach, or rather, everything you learn is useless and worthless if you don’t apply it. And in our field, if you don’t go out there, you won’t have an opportunity to apply it. Remember, if you don’t apply it, you won’t be considered a PUA, but just a person with PU (pick-up) knowledge.
